1- on-1 CLASS

One-on-one English lessons are personalized language learning sessions where a single student, you, works directly with a teacher, me.

These one-on-one English lessons offer a focused and efficient way to learn and improve language skills, where customization, adaptability, and direct interaction with the teacher is more permissible. The lessons provide a highly focused and tailored learning experience, allowing you to receive individualized attention and guidance. Extremely engaging and focused on the student and not the teacher, these lessons are available for individual students who are 6 to 80 years old and want to learn any of the English language courses or prepare for the English language exam.

The lessons could be 25 minutes, 45 minutes, 50 minutes or 90 minutes long, depending on the course. All the lessons include 5 or 10 minutes of revision of the previous and current lesson.

The main goal of 1-on-1 lessons is to offer you a personalized setting where I can provide motivation, encouragement, and support based on your needs and challenges.

What is 1-on-1 class like?

  • Before starting the lessons, I usually conduct an assessment to understand your current language level, goals, strengths, weaknesses, and preferred learning style. This helps in designing a customized curriculum.

  • Based on the assessment, you and I together set specific language learning goals. These goals could include improving conversational skills, enhancing grammar and vocabulary, get ready for a presentation, preparing for exams, or becoming more confident in English communication.

  • Then, I design a lesson plan and curriculum that match your needs, goals, and learning style. This might involve selecting appropriate materials, resources, and activities that address your areas of improvement.

  • These lessons offer the flexibility to adapt the lesson in real-time based on your progress and needs. If you are struggling with a particular concept, I can spend more time on it. Similarly, if you excel, the lesson can move forward more quickly.

  • You are encouraged to actively participate in the lesson by asking questions, sharing their thoughts, and engaging in discussions. This active involvement enhances learning and promotes a comfortable and open learning environment.

  • Throughout the lessons, I continuously assess your progress and adjust the curriculum as needed. This ensures that you are consistently moving towards your language learning goals.

  • At the end of each lesson, I provide feedback on your performance and progress. Over time, progress can be tracked through periodic assessments, allowing both of us to see the improvements made.

GROUP CLASS OF 2 TO 4 STUDENTS

Group English lessons with a few students offer a blend of individual attention and collaborative learning, allowing for interactive practice, shared experiences, and a supportive learning community.

Group English lessons with two, three or four students offer a vibrant learning environment that combines the benefits of individual attention with interactive group interactions. The lessons in a small group allow for a more social and collaborative learning experience. Group dynamics can enhance language learning through peer interactions, discussions, and teamwork. Extremely engaging and focused on the student and not the teacher, these lessons are available for individual students who are 6 to 80 years old and want to learn a new language.

The lessons could be 55 minutes, 70 minutes or 100 minutes long, depending on the course. All the lessons include 5 or 10 minutes of revision of the previous and current lesson.

Objective: The main goal of forming a small group is to engage all the students in group activities, pair work, and collaborative projects to encourage interaction and provide opportunities for practicing language skills.

What is a group class like?

  • Similar to one-on-one lessons, an initial assessment is conducted for each student to gauge their language proficiency, goals, and learning preferences. This assessment helps me create a curriculum that meets the needs of all participants.

  • Students collaboratively discuss their language learning goals and preferences, aiming to find common objectives that benefit the entire group. These shared goals can enhance motivation and create a sense of community.

  • I design a curriculum that balances the individual needs of the students while also addressing the collective goals of the group. This might involve selecting materials, activities, and topics that cater to different learning styles and preferences.

  • Group lessons allow for peer interactions, discussions, and debates that simulate real-life language use scenarios. Students learn from each other's perspectives and gain exposure to different accents and communication styles.

  • I adapt the lesson plan based on the progress and needs of the group members. If one student struggles with a particular concept, I will provide additional support.

  • Students actively engage in discussions, activities, and collaborative projects, contributing to a lively and dynamic learning environment.

  • Upon agreement, regular assessments, both individual and group-based, help track the progress of each student and the group as a whole. This enables me to adjust the curriculum as needed.

  • Group members support each other's learning journey, celebrating achievements and offering encouragement. Group cohesion can enhance motivation and a sense of camaraderie.

  • A diverse group can provide exposure to different cultures and backgrounds, enriching the learning experience by fostering cross-cultural understanding.
